Director Scott Lancaster

Scott joined GEMS in May, 2005 as the service Director. Scott has been involved in EMS since 1995, starting out on the Norwich University EMS squad. After serving  in the US Coast Guard, he began his full time career as an EMT, then Paramedic. Scott is currently Chairmen of the  AVEMS District (A-2) Board of Directors and is a member of  the NHEMS Region 5 Board of Directors.

Assistant Director Terry O'Neil

Terry joined GEMS in 2000 after haven been involved in EMS for 16 years at the local paper mill.  Terry served as Training Officer for the squad until July of 2002 when she was promoted to Assistant Director in charge of operations.

Terry was recognized as "Squad Member of the Year" at the June 2001 meeting.

Skid Baillargeon, Operations Manager

Skid joined GEMS in the Fall of 2005 as a 1st responder. During the winter he completed his EMT-Basic Class. Skid is now a NREMT-Intermediate. Skid was recognized by his fellow members as "Squad Member of the Year" in 2008.

Skid joined the full time staff here at GEMS in the summer as 2008 and was promoted to Operations Manager of the department.

Skid is also active on the Haz-Mat Team, and is a Lt. on the Gorham FD

Karen joined GEMS in 1995 as a First Responder. She served as Squad Captain from 1999 until July of 2002 when she was promoted to Assistant Director in charge of administration.  Karen has also been very active as a mentor and preceptor for new GEMS members and was recognized in 2000 as Squad Member of the Year.  

Karen served the department for many years as our Assistant Director, and left this position in the Spring of 2008 to start her new career as a RN in a local Emergency Room. She now serves GEMS as Captain.

Paul joined GEMS in 1996.  He is also a member of the Gorham Fire Department and a dispatcher for Gorham Police Department. In his full time career Paul is the new owner of the Sears® Retail Store in Gorham. See him for all your hardware, electronic and appliance needs on Main Street in Gorham.

Paul was promoted to Lieutenant in October of 2003,and to Captain in March 2007. In the Summer of 2008 Paul decided to step back to Lieutenant after Karen's Full Time Retirement to allow her to assume the rank of Captain she previously held.

James joined Gorham EMS in November of 2002 after completing his EMT-B course at Lancaster EMS.  He is enthusiastic about patient care and being a part of the team.  James was promoted to full member in March of 2003.  Full time James works for NCIA, our website sponsor and host.

James was honored as the 2003 Rookie of the Year and was promoted to Lieutenant in May of 2004.

Lieutenant Tim Harmon

Tim joined GEMS in July of 2004.  Although he was new to EMS, he has been involved in emergency medicine for many years as a pharmacist in poison control.  Tim was promoted to full member is February of 2005.

Tim serves on the Gorham EMS association as Treasure.

In the Fall of 2007 he was promoted to Lieutenant.

Liza has been with GEMS pretty much since GEMS has been around.  She joined in 1975 and has been an active provider and instructor since that time.  Liza has served as Director of GEMS in the past.  She was  recognized in 2000 for 25 years of service to the town of Gorham.  In 2003 Liza was recognized as the North Country EMS Educator of the Year.

Liza works full time for the NH Bureau of EMS and is also involved in many national level EMS projects.

Ryan Leighton

Ryan is a long time member of Gorham EMS. He currently works full time as a Fire Fighter /EMT-I in a city in the southern part of this state. He serves Gorham EMS as a reserve member

Denis joined GEMS in 1998 as a First Responder and he quickly upgraded to EMT in 1999.  Denis is a die hard and is always around to answer those middle of the night calls.  He was recognized in 1999 as Rookie of the Year.

Denis works full time as a Corrections Officer for the NH Dept. of Corrections and is also an active member of the Gorham Fire Department.

Diane has been a member of Gorham EMS since 1983.  She is very active in many aspects of EMS as well as Search and Rescue as a member of Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue. She is also involved in various humane and animal rescue organizations. 

Diane was recognized by her peers in 1999 as Squad Member of the Year.  In 2004 Diane was awarded the presitgious "EMS Achievement Award" from the NH Bureau of EMS. 

In 2008 Diane was recognized by the Town of Gorham for her 25 YEARS OF SERVICE!

Dan Malone

Dan is no stranger to Gorham EMS as he served here a few years ago. In 2007 Dan re-joined our team as a full member. He has worked for years as a full time EMT in a local community, and now serves to give back to the community on our department.

Cathy King

Cathy joined Gorham EMS in the Fall, 2005 after completing First Responder Training here at GEMS. As of February 2006 Cathy obtained her EMT-Basic certification.

Mike joined GEMS in 1982 and has been with us since that time.  Mike is the founder of the Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue Team and is very active in EMS as a member of the Randolph Mountain Club and Cannon Mountain Ski Patrol.

Mike is also a very active NH State Instructor and was recognized in 1997 as Squad Member of the Year.  In 2004 Mike was awarded the presitgious "EMS Achievement Award" from the NH Bureau of EMS.

In 2007 Mike was recognized by the Town of Gorham for his 25 YEARS OF SERVICE!

Chad joined GEMS in May of 2001.  He is a member of the Gorham Fire Department and was the designer of the Fire and EMS Departments computer network.   He was promoted to Lieutenant  in October of 2003 and to Captain in May of 2004. Chad has moved out of Gorham, and as such stepped down from his position of Captain and now serves Gorham EMS as R14.

Sonya joined GEMS in July of 2004.  She is very enthusiastic about working as an EMT. 

Sonya also serves the Town of Gorham as a Fire Fighter with the Gorham Fire Department.

Erica Waterman

Erica joined GEMS in July of 2004.  She also works as a coach for Special Olympics. She is very active with the department, and is currently a 2nd year nursing student.

Erica left Gorham in the fall of 2007 and is currently working as an EMT in Up State New York. She continues to serve GEMS as a reserve member.

Laurie joined GEMS in January of 2003. Although she joined as a first responder Laurie quickly upgraded her training and certification to EMT-Basic in the summer of 2003.  In her spare time Laurie enjoys snowmachining, spending time with her dog and spending time with family. 

Laurie was promoted to full member in November of 2003.  In 2004 Laurie was recognized as the "Rookie of the Year."

Keenan joined GEMS Explorer Post in 2002. In the fall of 2005, along with his brother, completed his FR training and joined GEMS as an observer. Kennan became an EMT in Feb, 2006. He also works as a Ski Patroller at Attish Ski Resort in Bartlet.

Keenan is a BSN/RN student at a College in Southern New Hampshire.

Shawn Costine

Shawn joined Gorham EMS in November of 2002 after completing his EMT-B course at Lancaster EMS.  Shawn is an active member of Gorham Fire Department, and serves GFD as a LT (69).

Cagney joined GEMS Explorer Post in 2002.  In the fall of 2005 he completed his training and became certified as a First Responder and joined GEMS as an Observer. He then went on to complete his EMT-Basic certification as has joined GEMS as a full-member / EMT in 2006.

Nick joined GEMS Explorer Post in 2002 and is very enthusiastic about EMS.  He earned his EMT certification and now is a full member. Nick left Gorham in the fall 2007 to join a Fire Department Based EMS Service in a city of 9 Million People. We all wish Nick the best of luck with his new position.

Bob joined GEMS in February of 2003.  He is a graduate of the Isaacson's First Responder Course.  Bob is a member of the Gorham Fire Department and works full time as a supervisor at Isaacson's Structural Steel.

Andrea joined GEMS in February of 2002.  She is no stranger to GEMS having served as an Explorer for a couple years aprior.  Andrea completed her "rookie" requirements in September of 2002 and was promoted to full member at that time.

Andrea was recognized by her peers as the 2004 "Squad Member of the Year."  Andrea also serves as one of our mentors for new members and a former President of GEMS Association.

Alyssa Leclerc

Alyssa took her first responder class here at Gorham EMS in 2005. Shortly there after she left our community to attend college in Manchester, NH and is about to start her final year of a RN/BSN program there. She completed her EMT-B training, and is working this summer on attaining her "R" status with us. She is also a member of the Randolph Life Sqaud.

Luc has been a member of GEMS Explorer Post since 2001. In August of 2005 Luc was place on the active roster at GEMS and began training as Observer 31. He quickly became an EMT-Basic then EMT-Intermediate, and became a full member in 2006. He serves a President of the Gorham EMS Association. Luc is also about to start his second year as a nursing student in the fall 2008.

George joined GEMS in July of 2004.  He brings a great deal of enthusiasm to our department.  George serves as the Director of the newly resurrected Shelburne FAST Squad.  In 2007 George became a RN and works full time as a nurse for the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

Stephanie Kennedy

Stephanie joined GEMS late in 2005 as a 1st responder. She is active with the Gorham FD, recently completing FF1 training there. She has been active within Gorham for years, 1st as a dispatcher for Gorham PD for 10 years, then GFD, and now with GEMS. In March 2006 Stephanie was elected to serve a 3 year term as a member of the Gorham Board of Selectmen.

Corey Fecteau

Corey joined Gorham EMS in 2005 as a first responder and has rapidly advanced within the department. He has achieved certification as an EMT- Intermediate in the Spring of 2007. He was promoted to Lieutenant in March 2007. In June of 2007 Corey left Gorham to take a full time FF/EMT job with a fire department in southern New Hampshire. He is staying on with GEMS as a reserve member and will be missed by all.

Judy Gaudet

Judy joined GEMS after completing here initial EMT training in the winter of 2006.She completed her observer period in 2007 became a full member. She was recognized by her fellow members as "Rookie of the Year" in 2008.

Dana joined GEMS in April of 2003.  Dana is no stranger to EMS as he has been involved with Fire-Rescue for years as Captain of Gorham Fire Department and the Chief of Randolph Fire Department.  Dana was promoted to full member in February of 2005.
